Although in-person worship is currently suspended due to COVID-19, we continue to prepare ourselves and our church for our Zoom services and meetings.
The Altar Guild is a volunteer group of the parish whose ministry is to care for the altar, vestments, vessels, and altar linens of the parish. Altar Guild members prepare the sanctuary for services and clean up afterward. Altar Guild members frequently supervise the decoration of the church sanctuary with flowers. For more information or to volunteer, contact All Saints Parish.
Our volunteer choir provides music for most Sunday services and high Holy Day services. If you enjoy singing and/or play an instrument, please consider joining us!* To volunteer or for more information, contact: Deborah Watson, Music Director
Ushers provide outstanding hospitality to all who enter the church doors during services and events and facilitate worshipers’ full participation in services. They seek to create a comfortable environment that helps worshipers feel a sense of belonging and a desire to establish or deepen a relationship with the Holy and with the church community. For more information, please contact Nate Pope.
An acolyte can assist in worship by carrying a processional cross, lighting candles, holding the Gospel book, holding candles or “torches,” assisting a deacon or priest set up and clean up at the altar, handing the offering plates to ushers, and many other tasks as seen fit by the priest or acolyte warden. For more information or to volunteer, contact All Saints Parish.
A “Reader” is a layperson who volunteers to read one or more of the Scripture lessons during the church service. Some preparation is required to assure that the Holy Scripture is read so the words may be understood clearly by the congregation. To volunteer or for more information, contact All Saints Parish.
The Prayer Leader reads the Prayers of the People at the appropriate time during church service. The prayers are printed in each week’s bulletin and it is helpful to speak loudly and clearly so that all may hear the Prayers. To volunteer or for more information, contact All Saints Parish.
Chalice Bearers assist the celebrant (the Priest or Deacon) in administering the wine from the chalice at Holy Communion. For more information or to volunteer, contact All Saints Parish.
Sunday School Transportation
Many children have been unable to attend our rich Sunday School program because of transportation limitations and/or because they are the children of single parents who must use their Sunday mornings differently. As we look forward to reopening Sunday School this year, we are planning volunteer, van-based transportation to safely bring children to Sunday School. For more information, click here.
If you would like to volunteer to help with this ministry, please contact Kip At Lee.
All Saints Cooks & Skills Extravaganza Classes
All Saints parishioners and friends present classes via Zoom on Saturdays at 10 AM. We started these weekly classes during COVID to keep us all socially involved and to continue to learn from each other. The format encourages us to interact and ask questions of the presenters, while we remain safely physically distanced.
To volunteer to present on All Saints Cooks, please contact Patti At Lee.
To volunteer to present on Skills Extravaganza, please contact Sherrill Munn.
