Project Spudnik Work Days

Project Spudnik Garden: Join Us in Making a Difference!
We are excited to announce a new Project Spudnik growing season on the grounds of All Saints Parish at 100 Lower Marlboro Rd in Sunderland. We start on March 28 from 10 a.m. to Noon to help grow produce for local food pantries.
If you have a passion for the outdoors and want to contribute to something truly valuable—where all produce goes to local food pantries—this is your chance! Not only will you learn how to grow your own vegetables, but you’ll also earn community service hours, making it a perfect opportunity for students in the area.
All ages are welcome. No prior experience is needed. Join us to cultivate a sense of community through collaboration and giving back!
Activities We’ll be Doing:
• Soil Preparation: Fill grow bags with nutrient-rich soil to plant 5 potato varieties
• Friendly Competition: Participants (ages 5-18) will label their bags. After harvesting, we’ll celebrate the individuals with the highest potato yield and the heaviest potato with a special prize!
• Explore New Vegetables: We may grow radishes, spinach, peas, Lettuce, and turnips
Upcoming Dates: Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 25, April 18th, and 25th, 10 a.m. to Noon. Join us in cultivating not just a garden, but a community spirit that thrives on collaboration, learning, and giving back. Together, we can grow something beautiful!
